Jan,
You are able to manually install (not using Windows Update) MDAC 2.8 on
Windows XP SP1?

following fruit:
I am referencing ADO 2.8 in my VB application and I told my users that
they
need to install MDAC 2.8. However, they are not able to install MDAC 2.8
on
Windows XP SP1. Can users that have Windows XP SP1 run my application? If
not, what do I need to install on Windows XP SP1 or what do I need to
change
my reference to?
Can you eloborate on "they are not able to install MDAC 2.8
on Windows XP SP1"
I'm not aware of us having any issues installing this at
client sites.
