    Hi,

I am trying to connect one PC (win98) to SQL Server located on another PC
(winxp1) but am failing with an error message:

Test connection failed because of an error in initializing provider.
[DBNETLIB][Connection Open(Connect()).]SQL Server does not exist or access
    denied.

I am able to connect locally to SQL Server on winxp1 so i know the database
is ok. This is the first time i have tried to connect remotely. On the
    connection
options i have tried to use Windows NT integrated security and
tried using a specific user name and password.
The database i am trying to connect to is the microsoft pubs sample
    database.
I am thinking i need to configure this database to allow remote connections
but not sure what?...any help appreciated. Thanks.
