My organization is just beginning to use Crystal Reports in our web
development efforts. I have a question about exactly what I need to
deploy/install to my web application server.
Our organization is very large and bureaucratic (but I repeat myself).
We have a Crystal Reports Enterprise server up and running. I've built
a report, deployed to to the CE server, am able to drag-and-drop the
report onto a Web Form in VB.NET, drop a CrystalReportsViewer object on
the form, set the Viewer's report source property to the CE
ReportDocument object, and run the report. Everything works great.
When I try to run the report on the web application server, a different
machine, I get a run-time compile error:
File or assembly name CrystalDecisions.Enterprise.Framework, or one of
its dependencies, was not found.
Do I have to install Crystal Reports on the web application server?
