First a few things to clear up. Palm Pilots do not run Windows CE nor
PocketPC, they run their own OS called PalmOS which requires different
development kits than Visual Studio.

Second Windows CE and PocketPC are also not the same thing. Assuming you
want to run your application on current handhelds running PocketPC you'll
need to download development kits from Microsoft. Since you said you
already coded or application in VB6, you'll probably want to try using eVB
(embedded Visual Basic). Once installed you'll need to start a new eVB
project which you can then copy/paste your existing code into. Some of your
code will not work and will need to be rewritten. Since you can't install
PocketPC onto a normal computer Microsoft also has PPC emulators available
which you can test your code in as you develop your application. You'll
definitely want to purchase a PPC to test it on the real thing as opposed to
just an emulator though.

Your other choice is to use VB .NET or C# .NET and develop your application
that way. The PPC will need the .NET Compact Framework installed on it.
All PPC2003 devices come with it in the ROM, while PPC2002 devices will need
to have it installed by the user.

Finally if you really did mean that you want your application to run on a
Palm Pilot, then the above methods will not work for you, and you'll pretty
much have to recode your application from scratch for it.
