Hi there,
I found two ways to create XP styled programs in VB6:
1. using the manifest solution
2. I downloaded the CP Design Style Library
www.freevbcode/com/ShowCode.asp?ID=5688
But...
I don't want solution 1, because the use of the manifest is tricky, and I
want the app to run on the Win platforms Win 98 SE and higher.
Solution 2 looks very good, even in Win 98 you'll have the XP style screen!
But unless it looks FREE code, you must pay $80 to obtain a
registrationcode. The version you download is a 15 day trial version. And on
the serial and crack sites this piece of software is unknown, so that's not
an option. (This does not mean that I am encouraging illegal use of
software, but to really try software you like, 15 days is far to short. I
always pay for the things I really use.)
My question is: is there another option? Does SP6 include XP styles?
(haven't installed it yet, because of the reported bugs)
I know I ask a lot in these groups, but I always think: why not share
knowledge? I do!
For your info: the apps I build are ment to be used by non-profit
organizations, so must be low-budget.
Best regards,
John
