If the viewport has to scroll it is simulating the 1152*768 resolution, not
set to a true 1152*768. I suspect the max the laptop will render is
1024*768. The physical size of a monitor has nothing to do with the
resolution - 1152*768 on a 30" monitor is identical to 1152*768 on a 13"
monitor.
