Visual Studio Installer

I need to use the Visual Studio Installer to create a package using Crystal
XI. I downloaded Visual Studio Installer from Microsoft but when I tried to
do the Setup - I get a message that it cannot find "the Visual Studio Common
Directory on this machine". It tells me to install VS6. VS6 is on my
machine as well as the VS Common Directory.

I do have .Net on my machine also. Is this causing a conflict? I am only
in the learning stages with .Net but still use VS6 for my current programs
and need both.
