Try recreating the SSL cert with a tool called SelfSSL, you will need
to download the IIS 6.0 Resource Kit to get this. Run it on the index
server with this command: Selfssl /s:xxxxxxx /v:2000 the s: is the
identifier number of the Office Server Web Services web app on your
installation. The v:2000 means it will be valid for 2000 days (5
years). Good luck!
Hi, it turns out that it was a default site issue. WSS couldn't
search the default site once I turned off access to port 80.
So I followed this blog post to extend the default site to use a
different port and search started working again.
