You can save the Production WSS 3.0 website as a template. Create a new
website on your Development box and use the template you just saved.

Hi there,
Can someone give me some guide lines on how to get a development WSS 3.0
running with a copy of the production DBs on a development SQL2005 Box.
I currently have a production WSS 3.0 with a production SQL2005. I want
to
create a development box of our current setup and do some testing on it
under
a development SharePoint and development SQL2005. I currently have some
sites on my development SharePoint, do I have to remove them before I can
do
this or can i create a new web application?
Thanks for your help
Ian
