.eps files in image libraries

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Our users are having problems after uploading .eps files to image libraries. The preview doesn't show and when trying to open the file it says it is opening a .ps file. I have tried this against both SPS 2003 and MOSS 07 with the same results.

Can anyone explain why this is happening and what might be done about it? I'm not too concerned about the preview but the users are being very vocal about the file extensions.
