Site Columns are not appearing after backup and Restore - URGENT

i had a server where i created site columns using a feature. i created
a new server where i did database backup and restore. i can see every
thing but my Site Columns are not appearing on new server. my
understanding was that once the columns are created by feature, they
are created into database and should move over but it is not the case.
any idea how i can move them. i can not move the feature and recreate
columns because some of the columns were changed through interface.
any idea what is wrong with Site columns.
