We are running WSS 3. I have been trying to get permissions to work on the
site. But when I stated that I added them to the administrators group that
was the web server local administrator group
Thank you

Richard, What version of sharepoint are you running? It sounds like you.
might be running an older version that WSS 3.
Are you messing with ACLs on the server or are you messing with the
permission levels or groups on the sharepoint site?

We have one of our sites that we have setup access to. We have a group
that
has view rights to this page and some users in this group get prompted for
login when they try to access it. Most of the users in that group can
access
this page, but some cannot. I have attempted to add these users using
just
there user account but that does not work. I have searched to ensure that
thier are no denies. When one of these users tries to access the page we
get
this error on our sharepoint webservers:
Access is denied.

I know it is some type of permissions issue because if I adde one of the
users account to the administrators group on the sharepoint web servers
they
can access the site. Is there anyway to pull what permissions a user has
in
sharepoint, and is there anyway to find out what these users are being
denied
access to
Thank you for your help
