Same here. (No problem with Vista).
I didn't notice any mention of which Office version is installed on that client. It might be important. I have Office 2007 on mine.

Surly SOMEONE SOMEWHERE is also using Vista! I can access my WSS Site with
Firefox (both on SuSE Linux and Vista) or with Konqueror (KDE SuSE Linux
only) and I can edit BASIC WEB PAGES. Vista cannot do it. I get an error
message: "Cannot Open Text Editor". HELP ANYONE PLEASE!

you tried a different Vista machine? Could be isolated to that
particular pc.
