Open with windows explorer not available on WSS 3.0 on x64?

I have installed WSS 3.0 on windows server x64. When i browse to a
doc library, I do not get the option to "open with windows explorer"
from the Actions menu. The only options I get are: View RSS feed, and
Alert Me.

Any ideas?
