Hey,
Im not sure exactly which version... I believe its services 2.0, and
its in kerberos. As stated in my previous post I know about adding it
to the trusted users but want to avoid that because I want to find a
way to do it without having to mess with ie. If need be, then yes, I
will instruct users to add the site to their trusted zone, but as we
all know sometimes its better to provide the user something that
involves very little to mess with on their end. Thanks in advance.

Hi,
which version of sharepoint are you running?
You could try to add the sharepoint site to users "trusted" and "intranet"
site in IE.
Do you run sharepoint in NTLM or Kerberos mode?
Waiting for your respons.

Hey all,
First off i'm running sharepoint services on server 2003 with SSL.
Now, whenever a user goes on our site they're able to view documents
but it prompts them for a password like three times and then once they
hit cancel three times they can view the document. I have seen that
users can make it work if they add the site to their trusted sites on
internet explorer.
I would firstly like to know if it is possible in sharepoint sevices
(not server) to make it so a user's logon in ie carries over to
office. I've seen articles on how to do it on sharepoint server but
not services. I tried taking "intergrated windows authentication" off
IIS but it still prompted for a password. Any suggestions? Thanks in
advance.
