Yes, our server is mistamping time also.
I can have the server clock set to 1pm and the docs will stamp 2pm. Very
aggravating, but critical for us. Other admins could have a way greater
issue with the time stamps.
Only one week left before I can dump that time patch!

I understand, believe me. I won't get you started if you don't mention how
MS should have realized this was going to happen and been prepared for the
problems the patch is causing in Sharepoint.
Are you also an hour off on your timestamps for your list items and new
documents? I don't remember that being a problem at first on my DST
patched sharepoint servers, but earlier in the week they were all off by
an hour. I am trying to figure out if it's just me, or is it a patch
thing.
I have found the KB article (933738) talking about using a timezone patch
and manual STSADM setting to adjust WSS2 servers, but I haven't tried it.
They seem to be having the same problem I am experiencing.

I have thought about removing the DST patch. Unless Microsoft patches the
patch for SharePoint I think I'm removing the DST patch after the old DST
date.
Just don't get me started on the stupidity of DST to begin with!

Sounds like the same problem I've been having. It used to take me, at
most, ten minutes to do a backup. After march 11th, it took four hours.
At that Search 50% sticking point, it will take an hour for each step of
backup from the that point.
When I uninstalled the DST update (kb931836), the problem went away. I
don't think requiring that those of us using Sharepoint not be allowed
to be on daylight savings time like everyone else is an acceptable
permanent solution, but it works for right now for me.

I ran my first backup since installing Windows SP2 over the weekend. I
am not sure this had anything to do with my problem.
I run my backups manually from the Central Admin console. My backups
were taking 1 minute (not much content yet). Not counting the 1 hour
delay from DST my backups are now taking between 2 and 3 hours. The
jobs stick on backup up WSS_Search. The first 10 out of 11 items on the
list are done in seconds. The progress for WSS_Search sits in
"Preparing Backup" for about 2 hours and then takes 30 to 60 minutes to
back up Search. I read that others had luck with changing time zone off
from DST so I changed the time zone to PST with no help. No errors are
being logged.
Is this enough information? Suggestions?
By the way "stsadm -o execadmsvcjobs" doesn't work to force the job to
start.
