Re: WSS3 - How can I automatic have an increasing number in a new line/item

Ruben,

Since the ID field gets created by every list to increment for each item,
just use that. Then, to have it show up in the edit view of a list item,
create a calculated column that simply has the [ID] field as the formula.

It will reflect that ID field's value in its contents for each item,
displaying it's number in the edit view or any other view you want that
field in.

Hi,

Hope you will understand.
I created a list in WSS3 and my fist column in a number that I would like
to have it increasing automatically when I create a new line/Item.

There is certainly a value that I can enter to have this working.

Thanks in advance for help.
