Another little tidbit... I know this has to be something easy... I am
just missing it. I login as a basic user (Non-IT Support Staff) and
get prompted for username/password. When I put in the users password,
it comes back 3 or 4 times, not accepting it and then opens the site,
but I keep getting prompted. If I put in MY username and password,
instead of the users account info, it accepts it and the page opens.
However, the Logged in As web Part shows me logged in as the
user.. ???????

Yes it is on domain. It is not currently part of a farm structure. If
by authentication scheme, you mean settings in Sharepoint.. I have set
authenticated users as readers. and anonymous access is set to none.- Hide quoted text -

By authentication I'm referring to Kerberos or NTLM. When you say
it's not part of a farm structure, do you mean SharePoint and the
database are on the same server? Are you using SQL Express? The
problem you describe is common in sngle server configurations if the
system is on a domain and during setup the Local service account is

I can tell you that SharePoint and SQL are on the same server and its
not Express... how can I tell what authentication method is being
used? I am not the person who normally handles the server configs and
I am not high on the priority list so I am not getting responses, so I
am having to do my own digging at this point. All of my testing seems
to point to a server permissions problem.. because when user gets the
login prompt, I can enter my username/password and until they logout
of the workstation, they no longer get prompted while using SharePoint.- Hide quoted text -

It does appear that I am using NTLM.. Integrate Windows
authentication..
