Should I Uninstall WSS 2.0 After My WSS 3.0 Upgrade Is Complete

After upgrading WSS 2.0 to WSS 3.0 (inplace upgrade, Single Server
Farm), I see that Sharepoint Services 2.0 is still listed in Add/Remove
Programs. Should I uninstall WSS 2.0 now that my upgrade is complete?
Is there any danger in removing wss 2.0 //or// in leaving it installed?
Server is:
Windows 2003 Enterprise Ed.
is a Domain Controller.
is a Single Server running IIS, WSS 3.0, SQL Server 2000.
Has no custom applications or code.
This box started out with STS 1.1 > Upgraded to STS 2.0 > Upgraded
to WSS 3.0
The reason I as is:
I'm having a problem where IE7 just quits to the Microsoft Error
Reporting System when I open a document on some Sharepoint 3.0 Sites.
I think it could be a asp.net issue. My Windows 2003 Server running
IIS 6 and Windows Sharepoint Services 3.0 shows both ASP.NET 1.1 and
2.0 as options in the IIS Manager's ASP Net Tab.
I ased the DOT.NET forum if I uninstall asp.net 1.1 and havn't
received an answer to that yet.
Thank you.
