I'm experiencing the exact same issue. We had no issues during
installation, only in viewing the CA site. Cancelling the
username/password prompt doesn't prevent viewing/using the pages.
Has anyone found a resolution to this?
Thanks in advance!

I have setup WSS 3.0 on a Win2k3 server and have been having issues
with getting anything to work in it.
I load up Central Administration and it prompts me for my password
several times. This happens anytime I attempt to do anything on the
site (including mouse over the menu bar).
In addition, none the form functionality to administer the site works.
I get "Error on Page" notices if I do anything but hit Cancel.
I have added the site to the Trusted Sites in IE and have all the
required prerequisites installed.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks in advance for any help.
