Luke,
This list is one that was migrated from WSS2, but the interesting part is
the even new items getting created (like ones created today, for example)
show up under the heading for yesterdays date, so it's not just prior list
items, but something about the list definition itself.
I created a brand new list, added a Date field and then created a view that
grouped by that date, everything worked ok for that one, so it appears to be
limited to lists that were upgraded. I created a similar view on another
list that existed prior to the version 3 upgrade, and sure enough, grouping
by the created date causes the header to be dated 1 day previous to the
actual date displayed in the item.
I also tried your suggestion of removing the Group By clause on the view,
saving it and then recreating it, but the problem is still there. I also
tried using the "Created" column, which is the date field the list item is
created, but it also is displaying the group header a day prior to the
actual date of the item.
Very very weird.

Hello Dave,
I tested this on a WSS 3.0 Issue list but didn't find same problem. Is
this
list migrated from WSS 2.0? I suggest you may try following steps to
trouble shoot it:
1. For new created item in the list, will the problem still occur?
2. For other lists on the same site, will we also get the problem?
3. In the special list, cancel the "order by" in the view (set it to
none),
click OK , and then set the "order by" again, will this fix the problem?
Sincerely,
Luke Zhang
