Data View Web Part

i have set up a Data View Web Part to show data from an MS Access database
using OLEDB. when i view the WSS (v2) page on the server, i can see the
data.

i have two types of queries in my MS Access database. one query is based on
an imported table. another query is based on a linked table (linked to
another database).

i can view both queries on my WSS site on the server. but i am having some
issues viewing the query from the linked table on my local machines. i am
not having any issues with the query from the imported table.

on the WSS server, the MS Database is in c:\inetpub\wwwroot\DB\test1.mdb.
the DB folder is set for Sharing Everyone (read/change) and Security
Everyone(read/write/execute).

on my local machine, instead of seeing the data in the query based on the
linked table, i get the error:
An error occurred while processing the data for this request. Contact the
server administrator for more information.

BUT, if i view the page on the server and try to view the page on my local
machine at the same time, it works. i can see the data on the local machine
until i try to refresh that page on the local machine. if i try to refresh
the data on the local machine, i get the error unless i had just refreshed
the data on the page on the server first.

ideas?
thanks
