The trend is to move posts on the new products to the new newsgroups.
microsoft.public.sharepoint.setup_and_administration (installation and
administration)
microsoft.public.sharepoint.design_and_customization (typically amending
out-of-the-box code with SharePoint Designer)
microsoft.public.sharepoint.development_and programming (typically writing
new code using web services; writing web parts etc. using Visual Studio 2005
perhaps)
or
microsoft.public.sharepoint.general (for what doesn't fit into any of the
above - at least that's what it is in theory)
These are then for all products and all version so you should say WSSv3
somewhere even there (best is in the Subject line) but a much larger
percentage of posts there are for the 2007 products than anywhere else (with
the v2 users still mostly going to .portalserver and .windowsservices from
habit) and they are now officially the only non "defunct" newsgroups.
OK?

Hello all,
My apologies. Yes, indeed, I'm using WSS 3 Beta 2. If the majority of
people here use WSS2, is there a more appropriate mailing list to ask?
Cheers,
Misha

(Say so next time please, serious-sam, as most messages here are about
WSSv2)

Hello all,
Has anyone had much experience with debugging WSS workflows from VS
2005? This page --
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms406057.aspx -- states that
you can attach to the w3wp process on the server and then debug from
there.
I've successfully created the workflow and deployed it on the server.
I can attach to the w3wp process on the server, except when I create
breakpoints in VS, I get a warning saying `This breakpoint will not
currently be hit. No symbols have been loaded for this document.'
I'm doing this from a machine separate from the WSS server. I know
that ideally all this should happen on one machine, but in my case it
isn't possible.
Can someone advise on what could be done?
Thanks in advance,
Misha
