I meant IE 7 beta on the client.

I've had cases where the authentication box has not appeared even though I
needed to change authentication to get in - so I couldn't.

I've then gone to the same site with Firefox (on the same machine); got the
authentication box and been able to access.

authenticate yourself in the case of Internet and not in the case of
Intranet - not however that you can't get in at all.

I have however noticed problems with some sites when using IE 7 Beta 2 ..

WSS SP2, Windows 2003 SP1.

Farm Config, One front-end server, seperate back-end SQL server.

When browsing to http://localhost/default.aspx the WSS page loads fine

when browsing to http://our.dns.com/default.aspx I am challenged for
login
and it is not accepted and result is a 401.1

IIS default website is configured for Integrated Windows
Authentication.

Any ideas?
