Hi again,
Yes, there is ISA 2004 installed and running, but this isn't related. The
problem appears inside the network and on the server itself, so I don't think
there's a link to the ISA Server.
The question is what is happening with the Config Database that leads to the
disappearance of the top-level web site form the configuration.

You also didn't mention ISA but in case you have that here's a message I.
tracked down that might be useful
"If this is SBS Premium with ISA, companyweb is not

I recently posted my own recommendation which I believe is

Yes, I agree with you, but the problem is related to the WSS. Also, I did
posted on the SBS2003 newsgroup and I was advised to post here also.
You can, if you want, take the SBS 2003 out of the uquation and the
problem
remains the same.
Please advice.

The fax service is something that comes only with the WSS implementation
used by SBS 2003. It's not in standalone WSS or SPS 2003's WSS part or
the
WSS used by project Server 2003 and is therefore not covered in this
newsgroup.
Please post questions that involve problems with the fax service to the

Hi everybody,
A client of ours has an installation of SBS2003 Premium. One of the
features most used are the fax service in concordance with the
SharePoint Services based component CompanyWeb.
The problem is that, every Saturday, somewhere between 02.00 AM and
08.00 AM, the CompanyWeb goes dead, with the following message: "The
Web site that is referenced here is not in the configuration
database." There are no errors in any logs I've seen so far. It's
easy to solve it momentarily, by removing the content database in the
Central Administration and then re-adding the same content database.
So, it seems there is a problem with the Configuration database. When
the above error message appears, on the Manage Content Databases, under
the Current Number of Sites it says 0. After I remove and then re-add
the Content Database, it correctly displays 1.
Is there anybody that has the slightest idea where to look or what to
try, other then reinstall? Keep in mind that this is a production
installation, with a lot of data in the SharePoint database (a lot of
faxes, actually).
There are no scheduled task other then the usual back-ups which are
running
every day.
Thanks a lot,
Marian VULPE
