none of the notifications are being sent on our WSS.
Is this alerts that are not being sent or the e-mails that are sent (or
should be sent) when someone is given access to a site ?
(You have checked I suppose that SharePoint Timer services are running and
with the right authorisation)

I am having a problem (which most people seem to encounter), none of the
notifications are being sent on our WSS. We don't run Exchanhe but have a
POP server which should matter as no other app that sends e-mail is
affected
(e.g. Veritas) so what am I missing - will the notifications only work in

Exchange environment?
