I had a nicely functioning SPS site until I tried to
upgrade my SBS server to SP1.
SBS support is at microsoft.public.windows.server.sbs
SPS support is at microsoft.public.sharepoint.portalserver
From the text of your message those are the two products you seem to berunning.
Given the choice I'd post to the SBS one of the two because your problems
arose in connection with upgrading to its SP1.

Greetings, I have a bit of a mess and before starting anew I thought I'd
give the experts a go. I had a nicely functioning SPS site until I tried
to
upgrade my SBS server to SP1. The upgrade failed, as did the backout.
Apparently my backup did not include system state so I could not recover.
Since then I've rebuilt the SBS and installed SP1 as well as SQL Server.
I
have the
following data files available:
----.STS_config.mdf
----.STS_config.log.ldf
----.sts_server2_1.mdf
----.sts_server2_1.log.ldf
I've created a new SharePoint site on SQL Server with a name of
httP://companyweb/default.asp which is different from the old one.
My question is .. can i import these files into the new site and get back
to where I was?
FYI, I'm running SBS2003, SQL Server
Thanks, in advance for the help.
Mike
