\par This cannot be done with simply modifying settings, you need a programming way to achieve this. WSS provides document library events that enable developers to build upon the SharePoint platform. Developers can create managed code assemblies that define handlers for these events and then bind the handlers to document libraries. In the event handler, you may send the alert email by your self, so that only changes from others are sent.
