I would look at their IE Security settings.
It could well be that these two different names for the same site are being
assigned to different security groups (so for instance the working one might
be going to the lesser security requirements of Intranet and the other one
going to Internet)

Hi all,
Some of our users get the error above when trying to enter any sharepoint
site.(ofcourse they have access to the site).
when changing the url from the <servername> to the IP address, they can
login properly.
http://<servername>/sites/.... NOT WORKING
http://10.10.1.28/sites/..... WORKING
No configuration changes has made.
Any thoughts?
