type Choice and data bases

Hi. I'm a beginner in SharePoint.

I want to create a task list to enter the tasks we do for our customers. One
of the fields of this list is the customer name.

The type of this field must be Choice, so the user will choose the customer
by using a drop-down list.

I see that if the type is Choice I must enter manually the names of the
customers, but they can change, and there can be a lot.

So, this field must get the customers name from a data base (access or sql
server). How can I get this? I haven't seen how to get this in SharePoint.

Thanks, regards,

M.G.
