I wouldn't recommend partitioning your first array (RAID 1 setup) at
all. One large 36GB partition would work fine. For serious
performance, I'd also recommend doubling the amount of RAM on the
machine and turning off your pagefile.
As for the second array (RAID 10), you should store both the SQL
databases and transacted logfiles there. If you store the transactions
on the RAID 1 array, you won't have performance gains over what the
second array would have provided, but you'll lose the redundancy
aspect.
Sounds like you've got a great setup there, though. You'll have to
post some benchmarks, or at least come back and boast about it. :-)
