restore old version file size limit

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

I've recreated this problem on 3 servers, but I can't find any documentation
that indicates this is a known problem or limitation.

If you go into a document library, select a file and view versions, and
select a version, if the file size is 5mb or greater, you get this error:

"There is no file with URL 'TestLibrary/SQLconfig.doc' in this Web"

Is this a known problem with a fix?
