Re: Problem Adding New User to Site



I don't know about creating user by using the e-mail address as I never do
that but there are normally two other methods of creating new users.

One is to specify the domainname\username. That won't product this message
unless the user had been added before and deleted only in one place and is
thus still listed (you need to delete in two places)

The other is to add a user of the local server (say Fred). If you try to add
Fred without having first created Fred as a user on the server you will get
this message. Even then when adding the user to WSS you will need to specify
him as servername\Fred.

I hope this helps with what seems to be an allied issue.
