Re: Upgrade from MSDE to SQL

Hard to say whether the database is of any use to you now you are partway
through the procedure. Although I've never had any problems doing this
upgrade I still always say when asked to take a backup before doing the
upgrade just in case.

If you have one from before, then presumably you can put your system back to
what it was and try again.
If you only have from now then you have little choice but to try to use it.

But FIRST (before doing either) I would in any case see if adding SQL Server
2K SP3A has any effect at all (and throw in a re-boot for good measure after
it).

Sorry to be sitting on the fence on this one.
