List my virtual server in the config database

Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance

I'm trying to teach myself Sharepoint Services. I had set up my
Configuration Database (SQL Server) to use SQL Authentication. After
playing some, I think that what I really wanted was Windows
Authentication... this logic is a whole different subject... but...

I reconfigured my Configuration Database to use Windows Authentication. It
wouldn't let me use the existing Config database to do this with, so I had
to create a new one at that time. Now, anything I try and do with my
virtual server, such as Create a Top Level Website, results in this message:
"The virtual server that is referenced here is not in the config database. "

I can't see how to list and if there's a way I'd really like to learn vs.
scrapping everything and restarting. Can anyone help please?

Thank for any direction
Tim
