Re: Cannot Connect to Configuration Database

<Event Log>
Source: Windows SharePoint Services
Category: None
Event ID: 1000

#50070: Unable to connect to the database WSS_Web01_Content on SQL01. Check
the database connection information and make sure that the database server
is running.

</Event Log>

Since it works without error when accessing the site from a browser on the
web server, and it does not even try to log on to SQL server when accessing
the site from a browser on any other computer, would that indicate a problem
with the component that WSS uses to communicate over the network to the SQL
server?

Does anybody know what that component is?

Thanks
Jerod
