Accessing Sharepoint locks computer

Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance

I have a user who has admin rights to a site, but cannot seem to make any
changes to the site as it continually locks up his computer. The user is
using Windows XP/Office XP, Ie 6.0. Should I just get this user to upgrade to
Office 2003? He is also a user in another site, but seems to be able to
access that site without issue.
