Re: SPBackup utility failing

(Extract from Resource Kit by Bill English and others)

The SPBackup.exe Utility

The SPBackup.exe tool determines which site collections have changed and
generates a batch file that, when run on a server running Windows SharePoint
Services, backs up changed site collections using the Stsadm.exe tool. The
batch file created by SPBackup.exe will not back up SharePoint Portal Server
2003 portal sites. However, when run on a server running SharePoint Portal
Server, SPBackup.exe will generate a batch file that backs up team sites,
personal sites, and workspace sites on the server. You must install
SPBackup.exe to the same folder as Stsadm.exe.

i.e. it is a front-end to stsadm.

It is also not an official Microsoft product unlike SPSBackup which I
mistook it for *and for which mistake I have already apologised*

If you were to use a real e-mail address instead of
joe@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx I could by adding you to my blocked list avoid
any possibility of disturbing you again. As it is I can't without excluding
every other joe.

I at least use my real name and an e-mail address that is real and constant
(and accumulates spam) when posting [so you *can* add me to *your* blocked
list] and yes, I have spent time on my holiday trying to help people in this
newsgroup, not just in trying to get you to (wrongly as it turns out) direct
this elsewhere.

You haven't helped anyone.
