Filter Dataview on more than one column

Using WSS and FrontPage 2003, I have created a dataview web part and I
would like to allow the user to specify what filter criteria they would
like to use. I have enabled the filter toolbar, but it only seems to
allow you to filter using a single column. If you click "Change
Filter" and select a second column, it removes the first column from
the filter.

Am I missing something? List views allow you to select multiple filter
columns. Can you not do this with a data view?
