I can assure you this newsgroup is being managed by someone (unsure whether
it's the TechNet managed newsgroups or the MSDN managed newsgroups or both).

Just find some of the long running threads where "research" is offered
(usually by someone with a Chinese name) and/or where one person is taking
an incredible amount of time to try to answer usually a very difficult and
rare question and you can see such threads.

John Jansen has unfortunately now answered this thread and thus none of the
official managed newsgroup guys will feel the need to do so any more.
