I've just written a *long* reply to this identical message in the SharePoint
Team Services newsgroup.

You say you have SharePoint Team Services so why are you posting this
message to the WSS newsgroup as well?

If this means you have WSS and not STS then ***please say so*** This would
also mean that you are not running MSDE but are running WMSDE so it's no
wonder I answered the question there as if you were running STS and MSDE.

There is a KB article saying how to move the database *in WSS* - it might
apply to WMSDE too. Do a search in the *WSS* FAQ and you should find either
a FAQ item or the KB article link.
