It is bad because you cant grant this account access in outlook to a mail
folder (try it).
In the Application pool you can specify a Domain Account as well as the
built in accounts.
I wouldn't suggest changing this without doing some research on the access
you will have to grant to the SharePont database. Is the db SQL Server or
WMSDE?
