Hi Paul ,
>From your description, the exception thrown from your component is handled by WSS. This is one default setting. You can go to the web.config file
in your WSS site folder, then modify the xml node <CustomError> from
<customErrors mode="On" />
to
<customErrors mode="off" />
Then the exception will be shown for you in explorer.
