Pure SPS questions go to the Portal Server newsgroup
at microsoft.public.sharepoint.portalserver

This question however applies also to WSS (and the WSS part of SPS 2003) and
is dealt with in the WSS FAQ (my sig)

Note that there is a link in the WSS FAQ's Useful Documents / MS Articles /
Downloads to the Adobe filter and also to a PDF icon. A further address of

Many people have had no problem getting the latest IFilter to work in both
WSS and SPS 2003.
