The onet.xml for the whole SPS will provide some assistance for you on this issue. This file is located at the
%programfiles%\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server extension\60\Template\1033\SPS\XML
Furthermore, Sirdhir has suggested one method for the customization through OWSBROWS.JS file. Please visit the link:
