Help trying to program with SDK

Hello,

    I have a xp pro machine that has vs.net 2003. I am trying to create a
simple windows vb.net app but when I put in the
Imports Microsoft.SharePoint

I get an error. Am I missing something to install to recognize the
sharepoint namespace? I cannot see it under references either. Thanks in
advance.
