\par I backed up the database then stopped the SQL service last night and
\par defragged the file system. Then I restarted SQL and ran a script to reindex
\par the whole database. Then I rebooted the server to clear out anything that
\par might be sitting in memory. It looks like these steps resolved the issue.
\par My WSS load times have dropped from 40-60 seconds to 2-6 seconds. I found
\par the index fragmentation using dbcc showcontig. I plan on scheduling this
\par once a month to prevent an further performace issues.
