Nervous about storing documents in SharePoint DB
Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance
Hello,
I am new to SharePoint Services, and am nervous about uploading all my
customer's shared documents from a file system into the SharePoint, where I
understand they are stored within SQL server database. I feel safer (mostly
due to familiarity) leaving the files in the file system, and putting
shortcuts in SharePoint pages, though doing so will probably disable
features like version control, approval, check in/out, etc.
Looking for folk's experience and opinions either way.
Thanks,
Harvey Juster
