schema.xml and displayed texts

Hi,

One developer changed some texts to different language on our sharepoint team services site (Office xp version) long time ago and now I'm trying to change them back. The problem is that even though I change the texts in the schema.xml, the site texts don't change. Is it possible to change these texts by editing that file or am I missing something?

Best regards,

Shannin
