Just setup 2 new servers from Dell, both OEM'd with Win2K3. The SharePoint Administration tool is present in Administration Tools. When I open the
administration tool for either site, on either server, everything looks
normal. I show the current web sites defined, and can add/remove users and
create subwebs.
However, when I go to either site (http://<servername>), I get the "Under
Construction" page. If I try to go to any of the created subwebs, I get a
"You are not authorized.." page. What's going on? I know STS comes free with
W2K3, and I've installed it from scratch on other servers, this is the first
time I've installed it from an OEM install so did I do something incorrect? I
would assume that since that admin tool for sharepoint works, sharepoint
should work.
I've looked at the main site, it even has the sharepoint app pool assigned.
